Generic Conception

We now need to read through our passage, the greater context, and determine the generic conception. This should be general enough to convey the meaning of the whole passage, but specific enough that the passage can be identified, that it can only apply to this passage.

Revelation 3:14-22 Generic Conception

After reading our passage, we understand the generic conception is something like "Jesus is challenging the Laodiceans to repent of their self sufficiency and pride for if they repent they will be seated on the throne with him, and if they do not repent, Jesus will “spit them out” and they will not be with the father."
